OAKNYC: The “alternative” store based in Brooklyn I got to know through his internet site two years ago. What I love the most are two basic facts about: A lot of black and white -and grey- clothing, actually nearly everything they stock is black and white. And the “no gender” idea of clothing they did have in their beginnings a lot of their stuff where for him/hers either ways something I really like about concept clothing but not very understanded by consumers. Also they stock great denim from Won hundred, BLK DNM and R13.

Inbox: Updating this blog the “Inbox” section is back. This time with A.P.C. fall collection selection I got today on my email. I love this french brand and for my sorrow I still miss a piece on my closet. This lovely camel selection made me think about my city weather by now: windy afternoons and cold nights we still get while we wait for spring time.

Fashion Icon: Marie-Amelié Sauvé. You know how much I love french girls -as Emmanuelle Alt, Carine R. and Charlotte G.- and this one is no exception. The former Fashion Editor at W and Paris Vogue team member decided to became a a freelance stylist best known for being the sidekick of Nicolas Ghesquierè at his Balenciaga years and now doing the same for Louis Vuitton.

Raw Denim: A micro trend we saw on a few collections at the now past “fashion month” particularly at the Louis Vuitton -in a self called retrofuturism which I loved- and also on past collections from See by Chloé. What I love the most about this is the 70’s vibe it gets and how easy is to wear it and to combine with other wardrobe pieces.
The tip: about how to get this looks is simple, go to your local Levi’s store or corner and get the timeless 505 jeans or jacket and wear it with something colorful, remember they basically invented the first raw denim of the world even before it turned to fashion. Now if you are a real fashionista go to your local vintage store/thrift market and found your perfect raw denim with no bleach in a darker blue color.
Luckily I already have my own raw denim jacket and jeans to wear them in this retrofuturistic style Louis Vuitton by Nicolas Ghesquiere is trending.

BMB: Black military boots. This is one of the latest additions to my “shoe wardrove”. Besides a pair of Stan Smiths and some new Nike Air Max 90 JCRD, a mix of different footwear style gives an overview of what I need/Like/Love to wear on my feet for Work/rest/go out.

Time flies: And if you follow this blog I’m sure you know about the lack of post. My “new life/working routine” got me little time to spare to distract myself. Sorry I’m doing my best to update this.
In pictures some random pics of my instagram account where you can pretty much see what’s about my life.

Dr Marteens: In between the crazyness of celebration my country Chile has defeated Spain’s football team-the former leader- at the world cup in brazil. I give you this post of one of my latest obssesions. A pair of black Dr. Martens, dated back in the days of prewar this boots later became an icon of Punk culture. Everyone -on internet-appears to have them, and so I think I need my own pair right now. They look like they fit every outfit wich is really a big must. Love them.

The puffy jacket: ok I know most of you are starting summer but here in Santiago, Chile, we are freezing down the andes mountains with -2Cº early morning. It’s been crazy this past week, new job, new city and a new life, no time for nothing so excuse me for the lack of updates. Freezing here made me think about this look of this two power players in fashion. Emmanuelle Alt always inspiring back in 2012 Paris Fahion week in a Rick Owens oversized parka and Raf Simons before Dior in his own bomber jacket. A look to try very safe-and warm- for me at least in my effort no to freeze.

Run Town: As I called the Tight+short trend seen in most of the mayor street style blogs this style is a translation of sportswear to the street upbeated in a darker underground way by designers like Damir Doma or Rick Owens it has been maximized by brands like Nike in colaboration with Undercover Gyakusou. It looks comfortable and modern even though I liked is not a style for me at this point at least.

Quilted: A trend born inspired in the armor clothing used by knights back in the times of castles. Transalted to furniture lining named “capitoné” has always been made of leather or padding cotton. Chanel was one of the first to translate this to fashion -in the modern time- with the now famous 2.55 flap bag. Now it has turn over mens fashion as I saw a few days in the mens section of a store while I was shopping. All pictures from Balmain SS 2014 lookbook.

Louis Vuitton Cruise 2015: This post may not be a surprise for you since every fashion blogger arround the globe has shown/writed or -for the more lucky ones- attend the 2015 Cruise show in Monaco last week. Here our attention would emphasize into accessories especially the bags, in this second collection by the new head designer Mr. Nicolas Ghesquiere has done something very expected for Vuitton fans like me. He has redesigned and proposed a new version of the classic, coveted and copied “LV” logo. This new versions as we can see in pictures are bold resembling sometimes the 70’s decade sometimes the art deco streamline or the steamer travel era and in the other hand for the bucket style bag he has used the architecture lines resembling the “V” very used in the mans bag collections in the latest ready to wear shows. He has also used the “LV” inside a circle old logo from the first years of the brand back in 1800s. Sublte, elegant sophisticated like the “pre-season” collections created in house before he arrived to the brand as designer. A total win!
